A new puppy will often whine because he misses his mother. Wrap a towel around a warm hot water bottle and place it in his bed. A ticking clock or a radio playing softly will also help.

Daily Aide to WINTER PET HEALTH SAVERS

Antifreeze is toxic to cats and kitties. Make sure none is leaking from your car or is left opened where they might drink it. A non toxic product is more expensive, but can be purchased.

Car Engines are a warm spot for cats and many are lost this way. Bang on the hood before starting. I actually had this happen, and it was very sad.

An outside cat needs a well-insulated, sheltered place, away from blowing wind. Check water frequently.

Heat flows from a warmer to a cooler body. Except in case of a cat...in which case all heat flows to the cat.
